My amazingly talented, Fun YouTube inspiration, and blogger friend, Amanda Rolfe has nominated me and my blog for a Liebster Award!  (Feeling so honored –Thanks Amanda, you’re awesome!)

A Liebster Award is an award given from one blogger to the next, recognizing the amazing hard work they put into their blogs as well as helping them be discovered by other bloggers! After you’ve been nominated, you can choose to accept this or simply keep living life the way you always have. It’s up to you! (But

Being one of the nominee’s, I will also nominate 5 other bloggers for the award towards the end of this post so be sure to check them all out!

Here Goes!

  1. How, why and when did you start blogging? I started to blog a little over a year ago, so not that long ago! I went through so many names, designs, and ideas that it became overwhelming and nothing seem to “fit me”.  Well in April of this year, my husband helped me to create what is now “A Thought in Every Thread”.  With his Master’s in corporate communication, we worked as a team and took off with it.
  • What inspires you most in life?  This is a hard question, because I am the type of person that gets inspired by so many different things.  I would have to say that most of my inspiration comes from the amazing talents like; Amanda Rolfe, and Melanie Ham. I also pull a great deal of design inspiration from fabric designers like, Tula Pink, Alison Glass, and Amy Butler.

  • Are you a cat person or a dog person? Or neither?  I am most positively and unquestionably a DOG person.  It doesn’t help that I’m allergic to cats though…I have the sweetest huskies on the planet.  Leo (Mr. Brown eyes) has been with me for 6 years now and Colt (with the baby blues) is our newest addition.  We like to call our little family, “the wolf pack”.

Not sure how we got this great shot…

  • Where do you hope to be in 10 years’ time?  I’ve always been the type of person to just, “go with the flow”.  My husband is more of the planner. I enjoy just letting life happen to me and taking each turn as it comes.  With that said, I’m not entirely sure what this life will bring me BUT I’m super pumped about it!
  • What is your go-to Karaoke song?  Hmmm…This one is tough because I have so many!! If I had to choose one, it would definitely be “We are Young” by Fun. Nuff said.

  • Favorite city?  My favorite city in America would have to be Nashville, TN.  I might be a little biased since I live in the area, but I mean come on…TULA PINK’s STUDIO is in Nashville! How cool is that! I’m also a huge sucker for older buildings and the whole “back then” thing.

  • What is one thing you wish you were better at?  Oddly enough, BLOGGING! I am so terrible at being consistent.  With working three jobs, taking care of two dogs and a husband, AND going to school full-time for my Bachelors…its tough! Lol. I have made it a personal goal of mine to get better at this, because it’s a passion of mine and something I love to do.
  • Describe your ideal summer’s Day?  My Ideal summer’s day would be sitting in the sand on the beach while the sun is setting with my husband and just talking.  The beach, especially around the evening time, is the most peaceful place to me.  My mind just becomes so open and even time seems to not be an issue during that moment.

  • What song always makes you want to get up and dance?  I’m really big into Worship music, anything Bethel related and I am up moving and singing my heart out (my poor husband).
  • Your biggest crafting/sewing disaster to date. Oh this is a GREAT question because I have the PERFECT answer for it. Lol. My BIGGEST disaster was the very first chair cushion I made for a chair I bought for my desk in my sewing studio.  I found this chair at an antique store and said, “Hey it really needs a cushion, I bet I could make one”.  Because really…how hard could it be? Lol. Nuff said.
  • What is at the top of your bucket list?  The top of my bucks list is to visit Ireland and take horses through the fields.  I have ALWAYS wanted to visit Ireland, so when that day finally comes…My life will be complete.
